In 2020, everything changed for the worse. COVID-19 burst out of a Wuhan wet market like a bat out of hell and made everything suck for everyone in the world.
I spent the entire pandemic in China. Which, to be honest, wasn’t so bad at the beginning. While most of the world was suffering from numerous outbreaks and shutdowns, China was actually pretty chill. Bars and restaurants were open, and we could even travel around within the country for a little bit.
Then, as these things happen, the Omicron variant arrived. Shanghai went through a harrowing lockdown, until finally lifting the restrictions two-month’s later, after we all went crazy. Below is a collection of blog posts about my experiences with the COVID-19 pandemic in China.
